Lytro Camera: Casestudy 2012

 

During my time at Lytro I was inspired to visualize what a DLSR camera could be. What became a simple doodle during my lunch breaks ended up becoming a nice labor of love. I created a camera that I would love to use and more importantly something I would love to just look at as a beautiful object. Tried to keep the forms simple yet have it feel engaging. Great lesson in terms of thinking about the cameras ergonomics, choice of materials used to evoke a sense of quality and reinforce this idea of simplicity. This project really honed my skills in thinking about martial shaders, lighting, 3d modeling. Camera was design and renders using Cinema 4d.
