In addition to creating a branded app, I was responsible for establishing a new visual language. I simplified the existing color palette, defined a new iconography system, established nuanced typography rules using the default type Roboto, and instituted a baseline grid.

Much of the visual language was designed to be modular, UI elements were broken down to components. This was done so it could be quickly implemented for A/B testing. Further, to speed up our workflow final comps had an identifying component number which engineers could reference in a UI master guide. The UI master guide was established to be a living document. As new features were explored or custom UI was needed the document could be easily updated.
